Mira Vista Country Club, in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a career-driven Assistant Superintendent to join one of the premier private club golf operations in Texas. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to work alongside a highly accomplished agronomic leadership team while helping maintain and continually improve a recently renovated championship golf course.
Following the completion of a transformative $21 million golf course renovation in 2024-2025, Mira Vista has positioned itself among the finest golf facilities in the region. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience managing elite warm-season turfgrass surfaces, leading staff, implementing agronomic programs, and contributing to future capital improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities, Knowledge, Skills, and Aptitude:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising daily golf course maintenance operations
- Execute fertility, irrigation, plant protectant, and cultural practice programs
- Monitor and maintain championship-quality playing conditions throughout the property
- Supervise, train, and develop maintenance staff
- Lead daily assignments and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
- Assist with irrigation management and water conservation initiatives
- Participate in pesticide and fertilizer applications
- Monitor turf health and identify agronomic concerns proactively
- Assist with budgeting, inventory management, and recordkeeping
- Coordinate special projects and course improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and environmental regulations
- Assume operational leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Director of Agronomy or Golf Course Superintendent
- Contribute to planning and implementation of future capital projects

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certificate, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field preferred
- 1-4+ years of golf course maintenance experience considered
- Additional experience may offset educational requirements
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong understanding of warm-season turfgrass management principles
- Experience with irrigation systems and water management practices preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Valid driver's license
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $60,000 – $70,000, commensurate with experience
