Job description:

• Grinding/Sharpening reel-type and rotary-type cutting units
• Preventative maintenance on all gas and diesel engines to include:
  • Oil changes
  • Filter changes
  • Hydraulic hose inspections/replacements
  • Height of cut inspections
• Maintain an up to date, accurate records of the preventative maintenance practices
• Maintain a clean, organized and functional work space in the shop. This includes office spaces, work benches and equipment
• Training/oversight of two assistant mechanics in all operations
• Basic fabrication and welding
• Electrical trouble shooting
• Operating a budget with fiscal responsibility and flexibility
• Ability to order parts and maintain inventory of essential parts
• Track and order fuel inventory

Requirements:

• Good oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to bend, reach and stand for extended periods of time
• Able to work in stressful situations with time sensitive repairs
• May be asked to work some weekends, holidays or stay late for critical repairs to be completed
• Maintain safe and organized working environment
• Keep detailed records of orders and repairs

Salary: $85,000-$95,000
